Mission

The Concerned Citizens for Corrales (CCC) is organized and incorporated under the laws of the State of New Mexico as a non-profit Corporation for educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended, without profit to any director or officer.  The CCC received it corporate status on March 19, 2008 by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission Corporations Bureau.

 

The mission of the CCC, a nonpartisan organization, is to identify issues of importance to the citizens of the Village of Corrales, to educate its members and others on Community issues, and to exert a positive influence on their outcome by speaking with a unified voice.  

 

The purposes of this organization shall be:

 

  • To represent ALL citizens of the Village of Corrales through an organization that is dedicated to making citizens equal partners with government and business in planning for the future of Corrales.  
  • To promote the Village of Corrales Community through assessment of the Village of Corrales’ Comprehensive Plan and to respect and follow the planning process that incorporates our input and trust.
  • To increase communication, cooperation, and sharing of resources and ideas in regards to maintaining the Village of Corrales’ rural nature and agricultural desires;  
  • To advance, promote and keep Corrales distinguished by its broad green pastures and orchards, its rich historic and artistic character, and of course the sounds and scents of roosters, cows, horses and sheep as well as aggressively strive to retain a rural lifestyle.

The above shall not be considered to restrict in any way the carrying on of any lawful activities of the Association, so long as such activities are not in contravention of the purposes set forth in the Articles of Incorporation.
